Webb Wilder's thoughts on "New Day" - "I wrote this song with Terry Anderson (Yayhoos, writer of “Battleship Chains”), The Beatnecks and I recorded it in 1993. It lay dormant until Landslide Records released an archival album of previously unreleased recordings in 2018, POWERFUL STUFF! Since there’s been so much talk about 2020 being an awful year, and we are now in a new one with a new president about to take office and a new, eagerly awaited vaccine for the pandemic beginning to get distributed, I thought maybe a rousing, rocking song about a “new day” might be in order. I hope everyone hearing it takes it in the optimistic spirit it was written and recorded. Welcome 2021.”
