Description
The legendary New York doowopp classic. The first version I know of is The Mills Brothers from 1949, a standard pop song. In 1954 The Cadillacs (of Speedo fame) made it a doowopp hit, which was then copied by many groups. The Manhattan Transfer did a near-definitive version in the 1970s. On their 1988 ReDoowopp album The Tokens did the short introduction as part of a medley, which I'm inserting here.
