On August 6, 2025, mgk did a surprise show at Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. mgk wrote on his IG story a few days ago that he will do a couple of small shows. This Toronto pop-up show was announced the same day it happened. In this video, mgk is performing an unreleased song called "starman." This was the second time mgk performed "starman." "starman" by mgk sampled "Semi-Charmed Life" by Third Eye Blind. At his free NYC pop-up show in New York City on August 5, 2025, mgk talked about how hard it was to get this "Semi-Charmed Life" sample cleared. mgk said he got the "Semi-Charmed Life" sample cleared after facing the National Guard.
