Together with a new music video, violinist Francisco Fullana & pianist Matthias Kirschnereit present the second movement of the "Ballada" by Czech composer Leoš Janáček on their fifth single.
Janáček spent seven years working on his only ( preserved) violin sonata before he brought it into its final form in 1922, after often tiny and minute corrections. The piece is not only puzzling to listen to, but also to interpret. Janáček uses the approximately 15-minute performance time of his sonata to create sharp musical contrasts.
