Description

This is the re-release "U.S. Hit Version" of the single, remixed by David Kershenbaum (the first release in 1982 went nowhere but ironically ended up on all future compilations). Although some markets played the longer "Night Version" this version was considered the definitive hit version on many Top 40 radio stations and is still somewhat rare on compilations and on the radio. This version has the extended "cries of passion" at the end.
Debuted on 12/25/82 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and peaked at #3 for three weeks. Date peaked: 03/26/83.
