Description
The Race to the Sea was a historical event in WWI where trench warfare created a stagnant consistency of death, leaving both sides to try and outflank each other by trying to reach the North Sea. The result was one of no victory on either side, and simple resulting in mass-death and destruction.
This event is taken as inspiration and used as a metaphor for the tribalism of our modern-day and our dehumanization of each other, leaving us in an 'all or nothing' culture that condemns it's own kind to an endless trench-warfare. "Train the eyes to see a heart again."
