A-CAPELLA-CHALLENGE 2 – "And So it Goes"
Hier nun das zweite Video meiner neuen A-Capella-Challenge.
„And so it goes“ ist für mich eine der wundervollsten und innigsten Balladen und wurde von Billy Joel 1983 komponiert. Sie wurde 23 Mal von bekannteren oder weniger bekannten Bands und Solokünstlern gecovered – u.a. von den „Kings Singers“ – und nun auch von mir. Eine in sich gekehrte Ballade, deren Stimmung und Gefühl wir vielleicht alle ein wenig kennen. In diesem Arrangement gibt es ab der Mitte einen kleinen Wechsel, der wie ein Perpetuum Mobile fast bis zum Ende läuft. In diesem Arrangement möchte ich zwei meiner (Ex-) Studierenden featuren - zum einen Juliane Heinemann. Sie ist eine eigenwillige Sängerin, Musikerin und Komponistin. Mit ihrem klaren und unverstellten Sound bleibt sie immer authentisch. Dazu gesellt sich Timo Xanke, Music Producer, Komponist und Sänger, auch er ist extrem vielseitig und offen auch er hat einen unverkennbaren Stimmsound, kompromisslos, ehrlich und direkt. „And so it goes“ ist auch, wie „Boplicity“, meist siebenstimmig und auch wieder harmonisch ein wenig komplex und sehnt sich danach, mit einem guten Kopfhörer gehört zu werden. Einen Teil der Stimmen singt wieder der großartige Felix Herrmann!

A CAPELLA CHALLENGE 2 – "And So it Goes"
And here the second video of my new A-Cappella-Challenge.
“And so it goes” to my taste is one of the most beautiful and intimate ballads ever and was composed by Billy Joel in 1983. It was covered 23 times by better- and less-known bands and solo artists - including the "Kings Singers" and now i took my turn. An introspective ballad, a mood and feeling of which we may all know a little. In this arrangement there is a small change beginning in the middle that runs like a perpetuum mobile almost up to the end. In this arrangement i would like to feature two of my (ex) students - the singer songwriter Juliane Heinemann. She is a charismatic singer, musician and composer. With her clear and undisguised sound, she always remains authentic. She is joined by Timo Xanke, music producer, composer and singer, who is also an extremely versatile and unique artist with an unmistakable vocal sound, uncompromisingly honest and direct. . “And so it goes” is mainly seven-part and also a bit complex in terms of harmony and longs to be heard with good headphones. The great Felix Herrmann sings some of the voices again!
